Citrus is the most produced fruit globally, and it’s also the favorite family of fruit all around the world.
I have studied on the Citrus genus for almost half a century.
My research ranges over: compositional analysis of citrus juice and aroma, functionality, chemotaxonomy, development of food analytical methods, essential oil distillation apparatus and processed products, comprehensive utilization of citrus fruits, and aromatherapy. I have published the results of my research in many academic and general journals and in a number of books. These scientific contributions have helped to increase the value of citrus. In particular, “Yuzu” (Citrus junos Sieb. ex Tanaka) has recently become well known overseas. ＜Kochi, Japan＞
